HISTORY

CITY OF REFUGE HISTORY

Pastor Glen Jenkins, along with his wife Sister Marguerite, Deacon Joseph and Sister Lovi Washington while having bible study in their home were called to Pastor this ministry. Thought the organization and leasing of the building at 8783 Commerce Court the City of Refuge ministries began.

At the same time Trustee Rudolph Robinson, Deacon Andrew and Sister Rosa Robinson and their family were holding bible teaching classes in their home. Also along with Deacon George and Sister Gladys Robinson and other family members merged together with Pastor Jenkins and Sister Marguerite to renovate a place of worship.

On October 10, 2004 the City of Refuge Ministries and its new place of worship was dedicated unto the Lord.

This ministry has been blessed by God to be equipped with all essential gifts, both naturally and spiritually. We also have been blessed with seasoned pillars and monarchs of the faith. God has trusted us to uphold the vision of this ministry.

By helping those who have been broken, imprisoned and dealing with abuse. To protect cover and to teach men and women of this community to be productive members of society both spiritually and naturally.

This ministry is growing daily because of the love that we have for God's people.
